Refund Policy
This policy outlines CanEduDev’s commitment to consumer rights under Swedish and EU law, including the 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases and the specific terms applicable to custom-made “Rovers.”
Scope and legal basis
This Refund and Return Policy applies to consumer purchases from CANEDUDEV AB (“CanEduDev”) via online channels and other distance sales to customers within Sweden and the European Union. The policy is designed to comply with Swedish consumer law and the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) regarding right of withdrawal, returns, and refunds for distance contracts.
Right of withdrawal (standard products)
For standard, non-customized products purchased online or via other distance channels, consumers have a 14‑day right of withdrawal (“ångerrätt” / cooling‑off period). The 14‑day period starts the day after the consumer receives the product (or the last product in a multi‑item order).
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the customer must clearly notify CanEduDev within 14 days (for example by email or written letter) that they wish to withdraw from the purchase.
After giving notice, the customer must send back the product without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date of their withdrawal notification.
Condition of returned goods and costs
Returned products should be sent back in essentially the same condition and quantity as received, with reasonable handling allowed to determine nature, characteristics, and functioning (similar to testing in a physical store).
If the product has been used more than necessary for such testing and thereby decreased in value, CanEduDev may apply a reasonable deduction from the refund corresponding to the loss in value.
Unless otherwise stated, the customer bears the direct cost of returning the goods when exercising the right of withdrawal.
CanEduDev is not obliged to reimburse additional shipping costs if the customer chose a delivery method more expensive than the standard, least costly delivery offered.
Refund process
When the customer validly withdraws from the contract, CanEduDev will refund the product price and the original standard shipping cost within 14 days from the date of withdrawal notice.
CanEduDev may wait to process the refund until the goods have been received or until the customer has provided proof of having sent the goods back, whichever occurs first.
Refunds will be made using the same payment method the customer used for the original transaction, unless the parties explicitly agree otherwise and without any additional fees for the refund.
Defective products and complaints (reklamation)
This refund policy does not limit the customer’s statutory rights to complain about defective products under Swedish and EU consumer law, including the right to repair, replacement, price reduction, or, in some cases, cancellation of the purchase.
The customer must notify CanEduDev of a defect within a reasonable time after discovering it, and in Sweden defects can typically be complained about for up to three years from delivery.
Custom-made “Rovers” and personalised products
Custom-made “Rovers” and other clearly personalized products that are manufactured or configured according to the customer’s specifications are generally exempt from the statutory 14‑day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. This means that, once an order for a custom Rover has been confirmed and production or configuration is started, the customer will normally not have a right to cancel the order or return the product for a refund based solely on a change of mind.
CanEduDev may, at its sole discretion, offer more flexible cancellation or modification options for custom Rover orders up until a certain production stage; any such special rules will be clearly communicated in the offer, order confirmation, or product-specific terms for the Rover.
The above exception for custom-made and clearly personalized goods does not affect the customer’s statutory rights if the Rover is defective or does not conform to the contract.
How to initiate a return or complaint
To exercise the right of withdrawal (for eligible products), or to make a complaint about a defective product, the customer should contact CanEduDev using the contact details provided on the company’s website or order confirmation, clearly stating: order number, product description, date of purchase, and the reason (withdrawal or defect). CanEduDev will provide instructions on how and where to send the products and will process the matter in accordance with this policy and applicable Swedish and EU consumer protection rules.
